Information We Collect
When you create an account we collect your email address, the display name provided by your sign-in provider (Email, Apple, or Google), and an account identifier. When you save a recipe we collect the link you shared and the recipe content extracted from it, plus any recipes or cookbooks you create or edit yourself. We do not collect your contacts, location, photos, or payment information.
How We Use Your Information
Shared links are processed by our AI service to extract recipe content. Your recipes and cookbooks are stored in your personal account so they are available on every device you sign in on. They are not shared with other users.
Analytics and Diagnostics
We use Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand how the app is used and to fix crashes. This includes app interactions, device and OS information, and crash logs. This data is tied to a random installation identifier and is not used to identify you personally.
Advertising
The app shows ads served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising identifier and ad interaction data under Google's own privacy policy. In the EEA and UK you are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time from your device's ad settings. We do not sell your personal information.
Third-Party Services
We rely on Google Firebase (authentication, database, analytics, crash reporting, app integrity), Google AdMob (advertising), and third-party AI services (recipe extraction). Shared links are sent to the AI service for processing under its own privacy policy; your account details are not.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your account, recipes, and cookbooks are retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings in the app, or request deletion on our Delete Your Account page. After deletion we keep only an anonymised deletion record and aggregate statistics that cannot be linked to you.
